Bumped into a Kiltie in Florida
I was riding my bike today, just heading wherever I felt to go. I usually just pedal around taking different streets and paths. Basically I just explore my town/city taking multiple routes until I feel lost enough and then decide to head home. Anyways, I was passing an apartment building when I glanced into the parking lot and saw what appeared to be a guy in a kilt. I saw a plaid, and because of the speed I was going it didn't initially hit me. I thought maybe it was another garment, perhaps tied at the waist. Well I figured since I was not in a hurry at all, I would simply hit the brakes and turn around. Glad I did.
As I turned into the parking lot it was definitely a kilt. There was no doubt about it. It was a full on great kilt in the Gordan tartan. I stopped to speak to the wearer and we had a nice conversation. As I am sure he has heard many times before, I started with "Nice kilt!" I then let him know I wore them too. We began talking about the vendors and stuff and I asked if he knew of X-Marks. Yep. He's a member. After a short bit I let him go on his way and I peddled home.
It was nice to see another kiltie in my neck of the woods. I never see anyone around these parts in a kilt other than myself when I walk by a mirror. Anyways, Wandering Raven, if you read this, it was nice talking to you!
