    Just remember that the Maple Leaf is an *asymmetric tartan*. This is an issue that you have to take into consideration because the tartan comes double width. If you order 4 yards double width, you'll have to put a hem in the kilt (because you can't rotate the tartan to get the sett and the twill lines to match once you've split a double width piece in half to get 8 yards). If you order 8 yards double width, you can split the tartan in half lengthwise and make two kilts out of the 8 yard, single width pieces. If two of you guys want to take advantage of the F&K remnants, it might be best to order one 8 yard piece and split it.
