I don't know Barb, 10hrs might be pushing it, but almost possible. I was chatting with the kilt maker employed by Dartmouth's Scottish Lion about a year ago. He'd been a kiltmaker for Her Majesty's Armed Forces. He told me that while he was apprenticed it was common for him to be ordered to have a kilt ready for the next morning. I watched him work for a bit. He used the pleat first then sew method and probably employed some shortcuts.
