I was ebay browsing the other day and came across an 8yd PV Black Stewart for £35. I have a couple of PV kilts already and although they are not a patch on my lovely woolies I do think they are OK for knocking about in. This one was offered by MyTartan.com from their ebay shop tartan54. Of course as is ever the way with me, as soon as I'd ordered and paid for mine I noticed the price dropped to £29.I've always been lucky that way.
It's a nice, well made machine sewn kilt made in Scotland by a company called Hamilton's of Galasheils and at that price I consider it a proper bargin. It arrived a few days after I'd paypalled and was packed in a poly post-bag and was unbasted. When I opened the bag I was expecting it to be badly creased but it was relatively ok. I gave it a quick steam to make sure any wrinkles were removed and I find it holds the pleats well and doesn't wrinkle very much at all.
Anyway, I took it out for the first time last night while out for a few beers whith some unkilted mates and thought you might like to have a look. No pictures of the outness unfortunately as I didn't take a camera but this is what I looked like when I got home. As you can see, I'm still standing.
Teamed it up with brown leathers. Thought that looked better in a smart but casual sort of way.

A closer look...
All in all, a nice kilt at a great price that scrubs up quite nicely. I'm very happy with it.
