Clan Scott Society Gathering 24-27 September
The first ever international gathering of Clan Scott at its ancestral home, Bowhill, near Selkirk, in the Scottish Borders. A fun-filled programme for all families, culminating in 'The Muster', an event programme to showcase all that's best in Border life and traditions.
The Thursday and Friday there are private events for the Scott Clan.
Muster day is the Saturday and is open to the public. Plenty to see and do, include pipe bands and other Scottish entertainment.
On the Sunday morning there is an open air church service at St. Mary's Loch and then the Scotts return to Bowhill for a hog roast barbecue lunch to mark the end of their gathering. I have tickets for the Sunday barbecue and I also intend to go along on the Saturday. I have no Scott ancestry but it should be a colourful event with plenty kilts in evidence. I wish my own Clan Cunningham would have a gathering on this scale, well maybe next year we will, now that our various clan scoieties have come together.
Anyone else up for the Scott Gathering?
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.
