    The Clan Claus Society

    The Clan Claus Society
    “Believe”

    Press: For Immediate Release

    We invite you to visit our new web site www.clanclaussociety.com created by our very own Santa Bear Garner. Over the past few months we have been working hard to create a family atmosphere for The Clan Claus Society. In doing so we have taken many calls with words of encouragement and ideas on how we could change some thing’s to make it better. While maintaining our mission and purpose please review our new membership polices.

    Authorized by Santa Claus and established on the 1st of June in the year 2008

    The Clan Claus Society embodies the desire to preserve and perpetuate the history, ideals, and traditions, family values and the heritage of the Scottish Santa persona. The Clan is a family element whose primary objectives are to establish a Christmas family.

    The Society welcomes professional and amateur individuals who portray;

    1) Santa Claus, St. Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, Pere Noël, and related persona, regardless of beard status. Both Natural and Designer Beards are welcome.

    2) In addition, Mrs. Clauses, Elves, Helpers, Reindeer Handlers and any and all other persons connected by marriage or descent are considered eligible for inclusion in the Clan family.

    3) Friends of the Clan ~ being anyone who has the desire to support the Clan in its
    Purpose and Missions ~ are eligible for membership.
    The Clan Claus Society was developed and organized with the critical emphasis on fellowship, camaraderie and a family atmosphere being the corner stone of the Clan’s concept. The Clan Claus Society is a family, not a business. We are not incorporated and have no officers. The Society will function as a Social Organization under the leadership of the founder and chairman with an Advisory Board that is rich in Scottish history. And unlike a business that weights you down with unnecessary rules and regulations. We have a very simple common sense Code of Conduct. Show appropriate respect for each other.
    We would like to see The Clan Claus Society take an active role in all Santa oriented events. As the Clan grows we would also like to see The Clan Claus Society become active in their state and regional Highland Games. We envision having the Clan members march in their local parades ~ always portraying Santa in an appropriate manner at all times.

    We are working very hard to debut The Clan Claus Society at Celebrate Santa in March 2009 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

    Matty, what a great idea. I like the tartan. Is it supposed to represent the wrapping on a Christmas present? I'll be joining soon, and possibly my Mrs. Claus will as well.

    The Tartan was chosen and voted upon by a group of professional Santa Clauses on clausnet.com. It looks better in wool fabric.

    What a great idea. Great sept page. I have been wondering if there are pro Santa's that dress in Scottish attire or as Father Christmas and so on when working during the holiay season adding an historical/cultural note to the holiday madness.

    I bet there will be now. That's about the coolest thing I've seen in a long time!
