Hi Gang,
Well after a bit of waiting, my new Alt Kilt Punk Kilt arrived. In the shortest possible review: Its great....

The long version:
First the (very limited) bad stuff: The kilt was supposed to arrive in 4-6 weeks, and it took closer to 8 weeks. In Alt Kilts defense, I got a very nice email letting me know that the kilt was going to be late, and it went out within a few days of her revised estimate. I wish she would have sent me the tracking info before I had asked for it, but that is a minor quibble.

The Great Stuff: The kilt looks great! It fits great. I've been loosing weight, and the fact that I need to wear a belt with the kilt is not a bad thing (I suspect it was built to the exact measurements I sent, but if I take a big breath in and don't wear a belt, it falls too low to be decent.). It has great styling , and I love the D rings and laces running up the sides. The material is a great heavy duct, and has beautiful buttons that hold it together. While the two pockets might not be big enough for everything I want to carry (the UK Survivor kilt can just barely hold everything I want it to), it has plenty of cargo space -- and if I can just buy some more dog clips, I can clip my extra stuff to all the D-Rings.

The cool design on the front apron is hand painted on and is incredibly cool. The whole kilt has a slightly distressed quality to it that I love (and already feels quite lived in). I'm a bit surprised at how heavy it is, but that isn't a good or a bad thing, just a surprise. Overall, it feels heavier than my UK Survivor, but not as heavy as my tank.

I'm not sure what else to say, except that I love it, and my husband (who ordered me to buy the new kilt) also loves it. Tomorrow we will see what my students think.

Oh... And of course, pictures:

Cheers
Chris
