Try Travis's recommendation...Highland Park has a lot of depth, with rich flavor and heavy smoke. I keep a bottle of Cragganmore for snowboarding season, what Dale said about seasonal scotch drinking is right on...winter is a great time for a Lagavulin, too. Dalmore is another good Highland, particularly if you know a girl who appreciates a good Scotch...more fruit, floral, chocolate flavors there than Highland Park. Macallan is a beauty as well...pick up a bottle of 18 year when you're feeling solvent or the need to indulge, you won't regret it.
"Cigarettes, whiskey, and wild, wild women!" Since I don't smoke, I'll split the difference between the other two. 
...and I think the British government would agree with me.
