That said, I sincerely hope that it is functional and meets your needs. Hunting sporrans can essentially be worn in any non-formal occasion (highland games, to the pub, to a nice restaurant, etc.). You would probably even be okay in some formal situations, though it would be ideal in such situations to wear a sporran with a metal cantle.
It was all I could afford that I liked. I don't even want to wear one but need a place for the keys. I prefer kilt belts. If I had a million dollars and no bills I would have gotten a much nicer hunting sporran that I saw elsewhere for $300 but, alas, that's not in the cards. I hope it works out too. I will most likely try to dress it up a little with a cantle later if it seems worth it.
