I did finally get it to work. I HATE M/S and their blasted "Genuine Advantage". Ever since I ran the last security updates, Windows is insisting that a copy I've owned since 2005 isn't "genuine". I can only assume that "Genuine Advantage" is secret programming language for "Genuine P.I.T.A".
