Off to Skye, any advice welcome
After 20 years, I'm finally getting to take my girl to Skye.
My guess is the place has changed a bit since they put the bridge up. I have as well - instead of hiking, camping and climbing, I'll be walking with a stick, staying in a cottage and looking at the view. At least this time I'll be taking a kilt, though I'm a bit afraid of risking the scorn of islanders as a tourist with an English accent, no matter where my family comes from.
Any advice on accessible places to go would be most welcome, particularly as I'm a folk musician - I remember a fine night in the Sligachan Hotel and we'll be right by Portree.
Still, if i can see those hills again...
