The short version is that we had trouble with a V.A. inspector while attempting to buy a perfectly sound but old (1846) home. A second inspection was done and there were no problems. The loan went to underwriting Friday, will be finished Monday, sign papers Tue or Wed, get the keys within 48 hours of signing the paperwork.

Finally! All the hassle paid off. Getting my family out of a small house in a questionable neighborhood into a larger house (2,000 sq. ft) in a small town in the middle of farming and Amish country. Not far from where both my wife and I grew up.

Thanks for all the well wishes from those who followed my saga and travails in my other thread.
