I bought this kilt from fellow X-Marker Guinness>water. It's a Skye Highland Outfitters 4-yard box-pleat (16 oz.). The tartan is Lord of the Isles. It came with other goodies which I'm not wearing in these pics, except for the galley kilt pin.

Normally I'm not one to wear a tartan of a clan I have no association with. But I had been wanting to try a box-pleat kilt for hiking in our blazing summers here in Texas. This was a good price, and more importantly MY SIZE, which is hard to find. I'm actually a bit on the heavy side right now, so I have the straps on the last holes. But once I shed a few pounds... like 8 to 10... it'll fit perfect.

So here are a couple of pics of my new kilt. I do like the swish and bellows effect of the box pleats. And the reduced amount of material (compared to my 8 yard tank) is much cooler.
