finishing the reverse and deep pleats
Hi All,
Well, don't know why I did it to myself, but am making a couple of kilts....
Anyway, finishing up the inverted and deep pleats, and boy, the skewing is insane.
I guess my question is this - if there is too much flare in the aprons, would this add to the difficulty of getting these to lay correctly?
Waist and hips are only 2 inches different, so I can't imagine it is that...
I think the bottom of the apron is about 2" past the waist measurement, about 1.5 " past the hips, IIRC (more split in apron, hide the belly)
Just can't get it down without completely bubbling and warping the apron bottom...
This finish work has to be the worst part of kiltmaking - I would much rather sew pleats any day
