    A welcome problem

I have a situation that may be welcomed by many. I have lost over 40lbs. in the last year. Wore the kilt yesterday for the first time since April. It is now very loose, bunches up under the belt. Any ideas? I really don't want to alter it in case I gain weight in the future... I went from about 226 down to 183 if it helps out. My waist is now 33 Thanks all

33 Inches! - I am trying not to hate you.

The easiest way is to move the buckle on the right hip and the strap on the left hip (both by the same amount). Then, if you get back to your original waist size, you can move them back again.

I have done this before and am able to do it in 59 minutes, stitching by hand. A little bit tedious, but not impossible. If you can sew a button on, you can do this.

There have been a couple of threads on this topic - search is your friend.

    Regards

    Chas

Oh, let's hate him anyway. I've been grinding away on my diet since mid-March (lost ~35 lbs so far), but 33 inches? I haven't seen that since I was about 10 years old.

The wife and I started P90X yesterday so I'm hopin to be right there with you in about 88 days!

I've been researching this...a buddy dropped a whole lot of inches...he just overlaps his kilt on the sides...hes not thru losing weight so he isn't going to have it adjusted yet. Since I always wear a belt, this sunds like a workable solution for me!

Thanks all -- I have been thinlking of using one of those black & silver spring steel office clips to hold a folded portion firmly. I sure don't want my kilt to make an unscheduled southward exit, if you get my meaning...
