    That's one of the things I was looking for info on when I discovered kilts in the first place. It was a bit of a disappointment to find that the Scots who came to settle in the New World were mostly lowlanders and didn't typically wear them, and those that did were pretty much military and weren't likely to drop out to go trapping.
