Even in the lighter weight material, it was miserable. The pipers in their heavy wool kilts and waistcoats and other such regalia were in bad shape and spent a lot of time in our tents, and the clan tents. So how does it compare to the other great kilts? I don't know. I do know how it compares to the material, though. It's awesome for wear in the Colorado desert in the middle of July.
So as to the "ancient" kilts... they look like knockoffs the terrible costuming in Braveheart and bare no resemblance to any genuine ancient kilt that I have ever seen.
Oh yeah... and my big bum is 56 inches. The 6 yarder fits me great!
That was a lot of good advice, and some that would probably help a lot out here in the valleys of Arizona. It also helps as I myself am a gentlemen of substance, and so knowing that the extra money is well spent is good to know also!
Thanks Nighthawk a ton!
