Man! I dont understand any of this. I always wear boxer briefs under my kilts. I absolutely hate my man bits dragging in the dirt if I don't. Freedom?!? More like roadrash!!

But seriously. I remember a thread a few months back about shorts made of extra tartan that used to be worn under the kilt. That would be great in the cooler times.
