Did you notice the part where he interweaves two colors of lace around the out curve of the front of the sporran?
I watched the film about 15 times and decided to try it myself.
After a couple of nights working on scrap leather on the spacing of the holes I began to get it right.

Here is a picture of how it came out on a sporran for Alex Cunningham.
I have done two others and ruined a couple of front pieces along the way.
It definitely is not as easy as he makes it look!
One of these days I'll try some of the other things he shows.

what a wonderful example of leather craft you have created here i think your efforts where will rewarded with the stunning results thank you so vary much for sharing and helping me to know that i'm on the right track with my simpler and more elegant approach not that the more casual ones are bad i simply mean for my taste and what i want to ware on my person
