On Monday morning I had to return to work. Le Scarf decided it would like to see the inner workings or Corporate America and decided to go to work with me.

The scarf decided it would like to drive ...

However, seeing as how I've driven in the UK and know just how hard it is to drive on the 'wrong' side of the road in the 'wrong' side of the car and that it was morning rush hour I decided I should do the driving.

Shortly after leaving home we arrived at my office:

Le Scarf watched for a while from the cabinet with all my work fridge magnets:

but decided after a while that Corporate America seems to be a lot of typing on a keyboard and talking on the phone and got bored.

    So it decided to explore:

A bit of time on the railing and watching the fountain in front of the building:

At that point Le Scarf went to wander around my office campus and decided it was time to bask by the lake:

After it got a bit too hot (93 F with 85% humidity) it was time to come back inside:

Here is a view from my office over to the Reston Town Center (much more impressive in the fall with leaves off the trees...)

And then hiding in a conference room on the other side of the building...

After relaxing there the scarf came back to meet me for the trip home. It found a section of my cubicle that is rather dedicated to XMarks:

A little hard to see but in this pic the scarf is framing a leather representation of The Saltire from Tom (A_Hay) that was presented to everyone that attended the Ferintosh 2009 Burns Supper weekend and the newspaper article from the Dumfries local paper about the Ferintosh Burns Supper 2007

I have to say that I proudly attended both as well as two others. Lovely. :-)

Once we arrived home this evening I was spent but Le Scarf wanted to contribute to the festivities. I was not surprised since its Welsh that there would be music involved. We had a rousing session this evening...

I should have had the neighbors in ........

Afterwards we relaxed on the deck overlooking the park (where said bike / walking paths exist) [see above]) and did a bit of a BBQ.

After that we all just crashed.....

tomorrow brings a training class for me south of the city which means I (we) will have to catch a bus and two trains to be there by 8:00 AM. It'll be an early day.........

    Licensed Premises...well done

I like that you took the scarf to a thirst parlor, my time with the kilt we missed out. The Lakeside Inn looks fine. Nothing so nice after a days journey than to find a lovely pub to knock the dust out of your throat.
