Horse hair sporran

The sporran seems to be made the way we used to make native american horse hair roach headdresses. That process is very labor intensive as each bundle of hair has to be tied on a cord.

The guy on ebay that sells cantles is lythgoe sporrans I believe.

Have a word with Artificer (Scott) here on XMarks by PM and see if he can create a leather cantle. It would civilianise your military sporran nicely.

I think I may go that route English Bloke. I really like the sporrans he has created. Would love to get something really unique made up!

MOD is the UK Ministry of Defence. If you check out Bugpipers site on EBay you will see tons of ex MOD sporrans he has for sale, also for cantles you can check with Bryce at UT kilts (USA site)
