Worst Kilt Spill Ever?

I had Nighthawk in mind when I thought up this thread.

What is the worst thing you have ever spilled, dropped, or had fall on your kilt?

I totally win this one-
I spilled a heaping bowl of Chicken Tikka Masala (Google for the pic to see the bright orange/red color) on my absolutely favorite kilt which was light blue dominant. Wiping it only spread it and pushed the liquid through the wool. The tumeric and spices had semi set over about 3/4ths of the front apron by the time I got back home. I actually ended up washing my kilt in a washing machine...I know, I know....But it was an upright with a gentle cycle that said even the most delicates could be washed. Well....the stains came out, but the kilt shrunk about 1.25 inches in all directions....Ended up selling it..... :-[

I spilled a bowl of pea soup over the front apron of my Leslie hunting 18 oz. This happened in a cabin up in the woods, so I washed the apron in a creek near the cabin. the soup came off completely without leaving stains.

I was lucky. Wearing my US Army tartan kilt (16 oz. wool) to a wedding, I was sitting at the reception when the slightly inebriated woman to my right elbowed her glass of red wine right into my lap. I instantly stood up and the wine flowed off the kilt like the fabric was coated with some anti-stain substance (maybe it is!). A few dabs with a wet napkin, and no trace of the wine remained....

I got blood all over the right pleats of my Scottish Freedom pv. Playing ultimate frisbee on AstroTurf in a kilt is ill advised.

My story is about what DIDN'T get on my kilt. I'd received my new Ancient Hunting Mackintosh kilt that I was going to wear to my wedding. My son organized a pub dinner for me and around thirty of my relatives and friends for one week before the wedding and I planned to wear my new kilt to it. My dad, wise man that he was, counselled me not to wear my kilt. I reluctantly heeded his advice. Come the night, and several tables full of beer later . . . someone (I think my elder son) got up to go to the loo and lifted one of the tables as he did. A tidal wave of beer rushed down the table to the end where I was sitting. My p***s got soaked. My kilt, safe at home, did not.

Well - more what I fell onto rather than had fall, but I had one kilt encounter silicon sealant when working on my bird hut - finished extruding the stuff all along the edge, turned around to descend the stepladder, lost my balance and sat down. Line of sealant right across the pleats.

RIP camo kilt.

I gave it a Vikings funeral.
