I don't know if this is true or not but the film requires hundreds of Zombie extras and it is planned to recruit these extras on Saturday night in Glasgow when the pubs come out?

Zee, Zed – it all depends on which side of the Atlantic you are. And even Canadians (or many of them) say Zed.

NATO phonetic alphabet says "Zulu". I've also heard the last letter of the Roman alphabet as --..

Yes, Zulu in that context is something I learned in 1968 when I was a troopie (trainee soldier).
But using it in South Africa is confusing, because the amaZulu are one of the peoples of this country.
Uniform, Victor, Whisky, X-Ray and Yankee are less ambiguous (although Yankee may carry ambiguities for Americans).
    Regards,
    Mike

Doesn't really cause any ambiguity around the area I'm from. Around here, the word is either A) a baseball team from New York, B) Olde, or C) (relatively) foreign. Sometimes alternate phonetics are easier to remember. (alt phonetics for my callsign/username sometimes might indicate a large number of speeding tickets, or remind people of flying saucers.)
