Slainte!
Here's a better shot of Scott with John. Scott said within the Clan they call this weathered tartan, MacMillan 'mud'. Not really fair, as it's quite a beaut. Too bad, I didn't get that rear pleat shot!

These two gents, wear it well.

Day Two
What a difference a day makes. The morning started foggy and mild. It would turn into a scorcher. But no complaint here; as there were no hours wait in your car for a storm to pass.
Matt Kuldell played the pipes to call those who were interested to participate in the Kirkin’. [I had fortified myself with the nine bells opening at the Hospitality tent.]

Rev. Ken Ervin was quick on the uptake having all of us kilted to come forward for the blessing of the tartans as none had brought their clan banners.
I was stuck on Saturday in the tent. So, today, I needed to do a walkabout to accomplish an important task. My first stop was to see Jenny and Matt at the Scottish Trading Company. Seeing Jenney is better jolt than a second cup of coffee. Matt when learned I was going to Scotland later in the week gave me tips where to find some treasures. My lips are sealed.

Afterwards, I scored a direct hit and found what I sought at the VA Parks booth. Not the usual lamb, but an critter that would pay my required penance to my wife from leaving my daily chores at home.

Spot your Clan!
Not that all of you here have a Clan affiliation, but I always like to take pix of clan booths for those of you who do.

Not a clan of course, but Clarke Scott and I had a good chat when he learned of my upcoming trip to Scotland and pending visit to Abbotsford. .

The lass at the House of Gordon gave me a pause to refresh myself for my busy morn.

The Donnachaids partied on.

Arrived at my tent with my prize!

Who should first come to see me but our own Mirthlesstroll and her two protectors!

The rest of the day was doing the duties of Clan convener; meet and greet members and prospects.

After the parade, I stretched my legs a little more.

Orvice

The day was waning and our XMarks ‘meet up’ showed it in numbers but not in spirit!

L to R: Sir William, SVC40bt, MC
With day spent, I walked over to the Pub tent and enjoyed the Glengarry Boys

The prices fell for imbidations from $5 to $3 to $1!
It was then time to pack up and head for home. But a stop at Park Lane Tavern was indeed a happy ending!
And Opie was welcomed with a quick snatch by the wife with a firm hug!
