    Gorgeous tartan! Richard, mate, you should have pulled that trigger!!! Oh well, go and use the funds to buy a new tweed jacket and waistcoat - mine far out-number the kilts I own.

    I'm glad I didn't find your post prior to the auction ending. A Stirling and Bannockburn is on wish list to someday acquire. This one was about an inch longer than necessary, but I might have been tempted.

    Wow that sporran is amazing!

    I've never seen the middle knob fluted (or is "fluted" the right term?) like that.

    BTW those small swatches of Stirling and Bannockburn posted above can't do justice to how wonderful a kilt made up in heavyweight tartan looks.

    That auction is gone. BTW the seller didn't mention the weight, but I could tell it was in heavy weight tartan because of the large sett size.
