They're always the THIRD full weekend in October.
Sorry you can't make it; we'll have to drink more scotch to take care of your share.
Definitely make the Museum trip. I don'tow of any other games up your way until next year. This one kind of winds em up for the year.

By full weekend, I was counting in Fridays...but this is good news, as the things I'm otherwise committed to will always be the second full weekend (including Fridays) of October, so I can make plans to attend next year. Looks like I'm out, games-wise, until the Smoky Mountain Highland Games down in Knoxville next Spring. Most definitely going to be heading down to the museum, though, once my own kilt arrives! At least I made it to the Sycamore Shoals Celtic Festival in mid0September this year.

It would be easier and more fun to pass the hat and buy you a ticket to Atlanta. You ought to just jump a plane and come on down.

We might make it, if my previous plans fall through, but we are supposed to be in Tn that weekend. The old game-time decision...but who knows we may make it after all.

I had been planning on driving down Thursday or Friday and camping through Sunday, but alas, life conflicts. I'll be there Saturday for the band competition though -- just a day trip.

Wow. I can't believe it, but my travel schedule actually has me in the Atlanta area for the Games. I'll be either in Smyrna or Dunwoody. I might even be able to make the meet up in Conyers on the Friday night.
Is there someone in the area that I could hook up with to drive with to either Conyers or to the Games? I'll have my own transportation, but it's always nice to meet someone at a central point and take one care.

Dixiecat, you really have to come to Conyers. We have a very nice gathering, and you'll get a chance to meet up with Xmarkers and chat in a relaxed, laid back setting. It'll be a lot of fun.
