Re: Kilted at Crater Lake
Nice pictures, Josh, despite the foul weather.
But I ought to point out that the lady is your fiancée. You are her fiancé.
When is the big day? She should be a lovely bride.
Regards,
Mike

the weather was actually decent besides the squinting, considering it rained at our house almost all day (2.5 hours away).
Our wedding is in June of 2012, and yes ill be kilted!

This looks like a cool place for sure! Bit of a gray day, but still nice. How long is the hike to get in there?
Congrats too on your engagement!

you can actually drive around the whole crater (about a 2-3 hour drive) but there are different places and peaks to stop at and hike along the whole route it was lots of fun and just beautiful

Crater lake is great...a good hike down at the visitors center and a nice drive around the rim. I've been three times, myself and I always imagine what the original KABOOM and collapse must have been like.

As a budding geologist, I have often mused on the same subject.
Silent Raven, it's always a great day for a hike in such a beautiful and interesting spot! Well done.
