I found this and they have WALKER tartan....for $130 for a hostess skirt.... that cant be right. Either that skirt is made out of plastic wrap where Walker tartan is drawn on with sharpies, or its a fishy seller...
cause thats WAY too good to be true.
Thoughts? Is this seller legit? Am I missing something? You guys know what buying kilts are like and I don't so please help me.
Ok, I figured it out. Walker is a special weave so it woudl cost me like $400
but seriously, $130 for an Irish American or Irish National or Heritage of Scotland or Scotland forever tartan hostess skirt? Is that still right? That seems so cheap!!
This online shop is almost exactly like heritageofscotland.com Their images are the same. I got a plain black Billie kilt form them (HoS). It was fine. It was like $25 but shipping was $35 ish. GAH! It also ran one size small. The quality was fine, like a little better than you'd find in Nordstroms Brass Plum dept. It definitely wasn't as nice as a custom kilt (like USA kilts, Scottish Tartan's Museum, or alt.kilt) The hem is very narrow and so are the buckles, but for a cute skirt, it works.

I think I will just go for custom made then. It would be almost $225 for the Co.Cork full length and I can get one for $250 custom made.
