Atlanta Kilts?
Are there any members who have actually seen a kilt from Atlanta Kilts in person? I have been checking their site, and am curious about the final result from an experienced kilter. I love Stillwater kilts and I'm looking for a roundabout comparison.

If you're neat Atlanta and wanting a kilt, come to the Celtic tavern in Conyers this coming Friday evening, and you can get some very good advice on kilts, things Scottish, investments, cures of athelete's foot, and just about anything else you want to know. There'll be a good sized bunch there.

And there will be lots of folks in Atlanta you can buy kilts from this weekend! Come to the Stone Mountain Highland Games! Be sure to stop by the Scottish Tartans Museum tent.

Re: Atlanta Kilts?
Sorry, I was just clicking around their site and I found this statement, which floored me.
I know a lot of people enjoy wearing acrylic kilts because they specifically want an inexpensive knock-around kilt they don't have to worry about. But this is perhaps the first time I have ever seen a vendor attempt to make the argument that acrylic kilts are actually superior to wool kilts!
Our kilts are indeed made with acrylic wool rather than old sheep’s wool for its many benefits. While still keeping the quality 16oz fabric, our acrylic wool stays cooler compared to a sheep wool kilt. Acrylic wool has also proven to be more durable, affordable, and long-lasting than sheep wool.

I thought that was a bit odd myself. A bit like "Sure BMW is okay, but people really enjoy the superior ride and handling of this Yugo".

Re: Atlanta Kilts?
Interesting.
I didn't know that there were different types of wool.
Acrylic wool, indeed!
And better than sheep's wool, at that.
It's my opinion but, for what it's worth, I wouldn't touch this company (Atlanta Kilts) with a barge pole (as the saying goes).
There are quite a few tried and trusted vendors around for this type of article.

On the other hand, let's also remember the incredible mistreatment, underfeeding, and poor stabling of those poor Crylics. Buy real wool; discourage disreputable Crylic breeders!
They're related to the breeders of Naugas. You may remember the uproar some years ago about furniture finished in Naugahide.
