I do like Earth-tones very much. Especially around this time of year (talking Northern Hemisphere).

Of course, I love tweed because of this very reason, and while I love the soft colours in my "Gunn ancient" kilt, I have always wanted a weathered one too. Because of the Earthy colours.

What I have actually found, and was somewhat surprised by, is the fact that weathered, Earth-tone kilts actually make a very nice contrast with black and white, hence why I've gone for this (more or less- a few things will change) for my wedding outfit:

I was thinking about modern colours originally (thinking that the weathered would be really only suitable for daywear)- and that it would be more striking- for this particular occasion, but I'm very pleased that I went with the weathered!
