Scottish ring tones
I bought a new smartphone and I'm having a tough time finding a nice ring tone.
My last phone played Scotland the Brave, which was interesting in supermarkets (once a lady remarked "that figures!").
I wouldn't mind it again, of Scots wha hae, Flower of Scotland etc.
Does anyone know a source for these? My phone accepts Midi.

I have some freeware at the house that lets you edit and convert mp3's into ringtones and then sends it to your phone as a message. I used it to get Scotland the Brave on Mine. That'll wake people up in the middle of a meeting, let me tell you.
My daughter uses it everytime she comes home to stock up on new ring tones

Oh yeah, I'll try to find it online and let you know the name, or get it tonight when I get home

beowolf, could you let me know about it too? I also have a new phone and would enjoy having Scotland the Brave as a ring tone.

I have a package that is actually music editing software. I download the song I want, trim it down to the part I want as a ring tone and upload it to my phone. If you can tell me the part of the song you want to use, I'll trim it down and email it to you. Then using a data cable (USB) you should be able to upload it to the phone and play it as an mp3 (sounds better than a midi).
I currently use "American Woman" for my wifes ring tone and "Cashmere" and "Sweet Child of Mine" for my other calls.

Well, don't keep us in suspense - what's the name of this music editing software?

It's called Adobe Audition. It will do a lot more than I know how to do but it's very easy to use.

I don't want to split hairs...but you've got me wracking my brain about the song title....is that "Cashmere" by any chance the Led Zeppelin "Kashmir"?
Not to be a wise guy but I'm trying to get one of my kids to put the riff from "Dazed and Confused" on my phone just so I can have a ring tone that I recognize and to be obnoxious in my fifty-odd year old rocker way. Just wondering if I wasn't the only one looking to Zep for ringtones...
