I think that woman surprised even herself. She was so surprised she couldn't control her reaction.

    That was hilarious.

In this opinion, the woman in the dollar store would be well served by our karmic universe, were she to be out in what she considers her own preferred version of stylish fashion...

...and someone look at her and utter precisely the same expletive.

You should feel sorry for her husband. You only had to endure her stupidity and rudeness for a moment; he is stuff with it for life.

I had something similar happen to me when I was hiking in Yellowstone. A group of around 10 fishermen stopped and talked with us on a trail. After a few minutes one of the women said "oh I love your shoes they are wonderful" (I wear vibram toe shoes when I hike) The guy beside her said "that's the difference between men and women all the guys are thinking he's wearing a kilt andl she notices are the shoes"

Hey. Take a breath and think please before you condemn this woman. How do YOU know she has spent her entire life in Nova Scotia?

I think the most important question hasn't been asked yet:

Do Dollar Stores in Nova Scotia sell the same wares for one Canadian Dollar that we buy here in the States for one US Dollar?!

Rudeness is rudeness regardless of where you live or how long you've lived there. If she doesn't know what a kilt is, or has a poor opinion of it, she should have the social grace to not say anything negative about it like she did. Any 'condemning' of her actions was for the rudeness. It matters not a whit where she's from.

Re: Today's kilt comments when out and about

Its so funny what people will say though. When i was hiking in the Grand Canyon, i wore my Khaki Utilikilt. Me and my Dad did anyways. And we passed a group of hikers wearing Utilikilts aswell! And the best part was, there was some arrogant teenager wearing underarmor, nikes and thin shorts, with a group of his friends, obviously not appreciating the Canyon. And he said. "Haha what F*gs, they're wearing skirts!" And at the same time all 6 of us said. "Its called a kilt!" at the same time, the group stopped laughing, turned around and walked away. We all smiled and laughed and continued our hike, so the moral of the story is; There will always be Mis-Informed people, our job is to pull them out of the darkside! (in a sense lol)
