Is the pale blue line a hand stitch? If it is, the contrasting color might be meant to stand out? A tailor's mark of some kind to line up the stripes? Is it removable, like a fine basting stitch?

If you look closely you can see that it is possibily 4 threads wide and there is a crossing of it with 4 blue threads on the right side of the picture as well, so definately meant to be there, and not designed to be removeable,
sometimes it helps with these examples to copy into an image programme where you can then enlarge and also change the colour balance, which usually helps to make things clearer

Here's another image. I've photoshopped out the background to give a clearer view. Couldn't get rid of all the reflection. The four thread mid-blue can clearly be seen in the warp and weft. More thoughts?
