I do not wish to side-track this thread (but I'm probably gonna!) The reason I bring this up here is because the pictures are located here!

I have been getting ready to contact Donnie about designing a sporran for me. I am looking to have one good, all-purpose sporran (I simply cannot afford a closet-full of them). Color will be black. I want to have my coat-of-arms tooled into the leather, but I cannot decide between a style like post #1 (with the COA on the main body of the sporran) or a pouch style like in post #6 (with the COA on the flap). I love the look of both these sporrans (and congratulations to the lucky owners!). For an all-purpose sporran, what does the rabble think: the more "military style" or would the "pouch style" be just as acceptible? I am talking anything from daywear on up (no white-tie events in my life, believe me!) I am one who believes qualityspeaks for itself, not how many bells, whistles, and decorative doo-dads a sporran may have. Thanks for any suggestions.
For one, all-purpose sporran I'd go with the style in post #1. To my eye, the pouch (as shown in post #6) is slightly more casual and not as versatile. Just one lady's opinion, mind you!

    I'd absolutely do the same.
