New Jacobite Sporran from Harold Cannon

Since the start of the year I have noticed that one of our esteemed members, Harold Cannon, has been creating quite a few kilt related articles by way of jackets, sporrans, rosettes. I was particularily interested in a copy of a jacobite sporran he created. After seeing one that he made for another member I jumped on the bandwagon and after a couple of emails I commisioned Harold to make me one. Harold was great to work with and answered any queries in a most timely manner (even though I am on the other side of the world and in a non friendly time zone) Although I only had a 2 week wait Harold provided ongoing photos of the project also.

    Without further ado

For size comparison next to a Ferguson Britt Inverarnan sporran

Harold is now a Registered Hobbiest on the forum and I have no hesitation in recommending Harolds workmanship and quality of product

Great craftsmanship, and I wonder if Harold ever sleeps! Wear it in good health!

Very bold choice for the color and unusual attachment. Really negates the danger of chain/strap wear on the kilt!

I also really like the belt and buckle you're sporting. I've been looking for something different than what I have...might I ask where you got it?

    Thankyou Lit Trog
The wang on the sporran was also on the original that Harold was inspired by. I believe that it was one of the original ways that sporrans were worn

As for the waist belt, it is a Artificer original that I obtained from him when I purchased Artificer sporran No 8

Interesting design. Looking good. My choice would be a darker colour.

I am actually working on a black one made out of bison leather for myself right now. This leather is turning out to work just as nice as elk hide.
