Re: New Jacobite Sporran from Harold Cannon

I really didnt know how popular this sporran would be. I thought some of the reenactors might like it but it seems others like it as well. It is very functional and quite roomy. I also like the three button closure for the flap. I have mine set where my hand will fit inside the mouth and I leave it that way and just button it closed. Then you dont have to fool with the drawstrings very much.

I'm glad you like it! I do really enjoy making them. It really is a fun hobby. I am thinking about trying my hand at making a drover's sporran next.

Not a criticism Mike, just a curiosity, have you tried it with the belt buckle towards your hip and the sporran centered on your waist ?

Not a yet MacMillan's son, though it did go through my mind, I will probably try it in the future. I am by nature, a symetrical person and seeing the photo, I did think it looked lopsided.
