Re: The perfect hose for Clan Claus?

    Very nice!

And I, for one, am excited for my beard to turn (more) white - my wife tells me a longer beard and styled moustache make me look too old, but she has agreed that once it all turns white I'll have her blessing to grow it all nice and long.

I threatened to dye mine (people think I'm older than I really am) but my wife says "no way!".....she likes it just how it is.

I saw those hose, too, and wondered how a green sock with the red-and-white cuff would look.

Thy hose, sire. Though, if I may be so bold as to suggest these as well?

Thanks Tim I just ordered a pair 37 pounds but the shipping cost was 68 pounds. But I had to have them.

Surely they did not cost you 68 pounds in shipping!!!

That would make the total 105 pounds, or around $165~$170, depending on your conversion rate! You could have gotten a pair of hand knit hose for that amount.

I'm hoping that was a typo!

I just took a look because I'm shocked as well. It shows me a delivery charge of £64.40 to the US. It did remove the tax so in total it came to £84.92, about US $120

To me, that's a rip off. BTW, the hose appear to be made by House of Cheviot although I've never seen those in their catalogue. Perhaps a custom item
