Re: Scottish Movies ?
Monarch of the Glen is my all-time favourite, not a film yes, but a superb, wee series filmed in the heart of Macpherson country, at a former Macpherson residence.
Cheers!

Re: Scottish Movies ?
I am not sure if I had a suggestion in that thread, but "Wee Geordie" is rather a charming film.

Re: Scottish Movies ?
I could list many good Scottish movies but I thought the OP was asking about just those that feature men wearing kilts. There are probably more good films that are Scottish which don't feature Highland dress than those that do.

Jock, I remember seeing this film as a child and could never remember the name of it. I have seen it a couple of times over the years, though in the last year, it has been on TV 3 times in my locale. Always enjoy watching it, especially the march in to the the '56 Olympic stadium

Thank You all for this . I am sorry I did not digg deeper to find the thread from before --Hinch the
I was just planning a 3 day weekend of Scottish movie watching.
and wanted some ideas .
I was wondering -does any of these movies or any movie show Men in daywear ? it would be cool to see a movie about Highland games and everything that goes with it

Re: Scottish Movies ?
Jock's suggestion of Wee Geordie is based on a lad who ended up representing Great Britain in the hammer throw at the 1956 Olympics. There are several scenes from Highland Games where you can see a number of Gents wearing daywear of the 1950"s

The original "The Wickerman" from the 1970's, Christopher Lee wears a kilt in that.
