Smile Alan wants kilts in action? No problems...

    Ok my friend

As much as I love to be a snappy dresser my highland attire is clothing, not a costume. So you want photos of kilts in action? What kind of action Alan?

Performing with the Red Thistle Scottish Country Dancers at the Great Dickens Fair

At the rifle range with my son and the Mighty Nor Cal Rabble

I have better action shots from this day but I think this is as good as I can post here ;)

Camping with Kilted friends like the Farlander

Attending a Bat Mitzvah with Walkerk

Helping lead my son’s Cub Scout troop last year

Attending Scottish Country Dance Balls with my shining Star

    Birding

    Hiking

    Smoking

And just dancing the night away with the Love of my Life...

    Cheers

Those are great, James! I particularly like the one of you with the Red Thistle group at the Dickens Faire.

Re: The Action Kilt Pic Challenge

Here's a few fairly recent ones Alan.

Out for a pre-Christmas walk with my Smooth Collie "Sassy"

    "SQUIRREL!!!"

...and these action shots are for Jock (note the cap)

Y'all might notice that Sassy's left front paw looks a little wider. I'm told it was injured as
a pup & became slightly deformed. It doesn't seem to bother her or affect her abilities...

*the Smooth Collie is the cousin of the Rough Collie (think "Lassie" with short hair ).
While the Rough was a Scottish sheep herding dog, the Smoothie was traditionally a
Scottish cattle dog (& on some ranches out here on the westcoast still is).
Breed histories state that the Smooth Collie was "saved" by the attentions of Queen Victoria.
She took a liking to the breed & kept a large kennel of them, which caused others to follow suit,
thereby ensuring the breed didn't become extinct (which it almost had).
