Re: New Riverside Transport Museum Glasgow

Is Alan Boddell (my old Chemistry teacher at Hawick High School) still involved in Hawick's annual model train exhibition?
Yes, Alan Bodell is still treasurer of the Hawick Model Railway Show which is held annually in August.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.

Alex, it certainly is worth a visit although some of the more traditional transport devotees feel that it has not the same atmosphere as the Kelvinhall or its previous site in the south of the city. One of the reasons is because the powers that be have not included one of the four remaining Coronation trams at the Riverside. Personnally I think this is a glaring omission.
I took the photo of Byres Road from inside the judges, its not a great photo.

I know that a Duncan MacGregor was a previous owner and he sold it on to his nephew Drew who came from Uddingston. Drew must have sold it to the Australian about 10 years ago.
