An Afternoon On The Edge
The edge of the sea, that is: the Marin Headlands north of San Francisco. It was cold, with savage winds up around 40 miles per hour or so; and my face went numb in about two minutes. I'm glad Ryan Ross makes his bonnets with adjustable drawstrings -- thanks to that, it was only blown off once, though it still was a near thing a few other times.

Lookin' good Dale, but it's 20 below here in New Hampshire.
I'm not sure you know what cold is.

If you'd not told us of the wind I'd say it looks like a beautiful day for a kilted hike. Glad you were able to save your bonnet, that would be a great loss for certain.

I was just in the Bay Area a couple of weeks ago and the weather couldn't have been better. What you experienced is how I remember the summers in the City.

This one will give you a better idea of the wind.

Love the "action" shot with the pleats fluttering in the wind. Looks like you had a great time!

Thanks, Matt, I certainly did. And I thank you for making me such a fine kilt!
I'm minded that I owe thanks to others here as well: To Ryan Ross for keeping my head warm. And also to Lamar Britt, as the second pic attests: For verily, the worth of a good sporran is far above rubies.
