    A letter from my doctor

I received a letter asking me to come in and have a routine blood pressure check up. So last Friday it was sunny but cold in Thurso and we were having lunch in town later and a bit o shopping, so I went kilted and dressed about the same as my avatar but with bottle green hose with burgundy flashes and necktie, lovat blue jacket and waistcoat.
So in I went and the first question was, Oh! you look smart, going anywhere special? (I expected that).
Then, 30 seconds to take my blood pressure (which proved to be normal) and the next 15 minutes discussing my Tartan, Clan, Games, Christmas, Holidays etc etc.
Then she said, "I wish more men would come in kilted as it would make my job easier for certain conditions". I did not ask her to elaborate

    Chris.

Bursitis of the knees, springs to mind. And Alex has said that his Deep Vein Thrombosis was only brought to light because others could see his legs.

Re: A letter from my doctor

I once had a severe abrasion on my inner thigh. My doctor said I should wear loose clothing until it healed. I said, "How about a kilt?" He said that sounded perfect, but where would I get a kilt so fast. I said, "in my closet," and he laughed.

Good story. I may go kilted to my next Dr. appt. Glad your BP was normal.
