What color hose would you be wear?

What tabs/flashes will you be wearing?

Lovat green, with red. That will get me through 99 percent of daywear with any tartan, so it's my default answer.

However i have great respect for the school of thought that habitually begins "claret hose," and the House of Cheviot's "St Andrews blue" is a contender.

Very true! I have worn that colour combination many times - it tones well with almost any tartan.
