I think the white hose are not worn with day wear because they dont really suit the look of the brown, green and blue tweeds of day wear, being too bright. They are more suited to wedding or formal events.

I do like the variety of subtle ways the day wear is worn although yellow hose are not something I like but as is always said here, wear what you feel is right.
