Beheading of Robert Burns Staue in New Zealand
The 8feet statue of our most loved poet was vandalised in Timaru, South Island. The head of the statue which stood in the Botanic Gardens is missing and £500 reward is offered. The statue is of Italian marble and was unveiled in 1913.
Why would a statue of Robert Burns be vandalised in such a place. I always thought there was a great feeling for Burns in New Zealand
