    Glencoe Massacre ceremony

Here's a news story covering the commemoration of the Glencoe Massacre.
Lots of good highland attire in the footage

    Re: Glencoe Massacre ceremony

I was wondering why my MacDonald of Glencoe muted kilt was calling me from my closet late Sunday night and Monday morning, until I looked at the calendar Monday at work. I think muted is appropriate in more ways than one.

Nice little news piece, not too heavy handed, political or clan-splitting. I had wondered if this year we might have gotten past this date in silence, but memories die hard and slow. Bless all lost souls.

    Re: Glencoe Massacre ceremony

The Mid-Atlantic District of Clan Donald holds a Glencoe Gathering each February on the weekend closest to the Massacre. This year there were two of us wearing MacDonald of Glencoe kilt.

Our little gathering is mostly social though Campbells are not invited to attend. And, for some reason we have a haggis (and the Burns reading).
