Not sure about the Cateran Society, but he wrote the book: Highland Martial Culture, the Fighting Heritage of Scotland We crossed blades and targes at the tail end of the 2011 Gatherin' in Kansas (in the firelight-you think full light is fun...!!). I think he was localish-I had seen him there the last couple of years, but never chatted.

Well, he ain't bad. Regular wizard with the targe-I am deficient in that regard, and I was using the one I had made for a practice unit...It has undergone some design alterations since the encounter. I held up my end though, otherwise.
