I didn't meet Herminator, at least not knowingly. But it could be that we were at the same pipe shows. I just asked him if he comes to Lohmar on march 31st. It would be nice if we could meet some time.
To 9mm filters. That's a german phenomenon. Vauen (Dr. Perl) invented them in the thirties and makes a bunch of money of them. I got rid of them several years ago. I still have old pipes for it, but I just don't use them any more (the filters, not the pipes). I only buy now pipes with standard drill. They look way more elegant than those for 9 mm, especially those with bamboo shank, that I love dearly and have quite a collection of.
Sadly I have to wortk on the Lohmar weekend! And since I haven´t been to any pipe shows ever yet I guess we haven´t met. Are you on youtube?
