Re: Cthulhu accessory: Elder Sign buckle from Tyger Forge...

A dark hole... That sounds like all sorts of things, not least among them some place from which the Elder Gods might emerge. Troubling...

Indeed. And I wish that I knew more about this, but like I say, it came to me in the middle of the night.

And what I was actually doing as the light came with the day I cannot say for certain that I remember. Only, it is clear that I was working, and during periods of stark lucidity I could feel a feverish heat occasionally run through me. This was between spells that were cool and clammy- a relief, of sorts, as it turned out.

So, I am trying to say that I don't know what all is really IN that design, either symbolic or otherwise.

I would go slowly, but you know much more than I about this.

I must say, Mark, for the benefit of all (as I know you are aware of this fact moreso than anyone, save possibly myself), that this particular buckle exudes an aura that is palpable.

It's certain that you passed more than form into this piece, as you created it using metal, heat, hammer, mind... and something else that's harder to put a name to.

Indeed, you've created something that I think even YOU would find difficult (or impossible) to fully and truly reproduce. You've transmuted the metal into something more than just metal... something of outstanding power, I might even say.

    Handle with care, young man.

Now I am getting that spooky feeling back.

And, what is most troubling, is that I almost want that feeling back. It is a feeling akin to the feeling one gets at the Grand Canyon: a force is pulling one into the Canyon, and terror and peace enters your body. And you thnk that you want to seek, to find, that other thing. And it takes one's entire strength to back off.

    Tall order, that guy.
He knows how to talk me into wanting to buy it even more.

Re: Cthulhu accessory: Elder Sign buckle from Tyger Forge...

As the OP, I request that the moderators please move this thread to the Scottish Tartans Museum section of the forum, as soon as possible, as it pertains to a Scottish Tartans Museum product, namely a Tyger Forge belt buckle.

I would very much hate to see this thread suffer the same fate as other recent ones, and so would like it placed in the STM partner's forum.

My apologies to the moderators for placing this thread in the wrong section.

    Thank you greatly.

I'd hate to see that too, RR. What's the old saw about "the good [threads] die young"?
