OOOH! How do you do it without apron flippage or the back of the kilt getting eveerywhere? I am dreaming up a way to prevent such things through finer textile engineering but I would love to try it without if it works.

Ah... so here is what I learned at church the other evening.... So there are a set of sisters (not nuns) that are regulars. They are in their 70's. Anyway, they know that I commute on the goldwing. Both of them want to go for a ride. They then told me that when they were younger, the boys would have motorcycles and they would take them for rides. They would just tuck the front and back of the skirt under them. Apparently, the "boys" would sometimes hit a bump (shocks weren't as good then) and the girls would lift off the seat... just enough to have a skirt blowing in their face. Because of the types of motorcycles... they really couldn't let go of the driver to fix things. I think the guys got quite the charge out of it.

I've done it (riding the moto kilted) without any kilt pin..., but swung the sporran to the side. Just go out and give it a try. Like I said before, its hard to swing a leg over the goldwing because of the height and width of the bike (although I did it yesterday when I was moving things around in the garage), but a lower slung cruiser... piece of cake. Just go out and do it!

Yeah I guess so. The imagined physics of it always leave me thinking of that utilikilt mockumercial with the motorcycle.

Speaking of Utilikilts, some of their models have a "modesty snap." I believe this is a snap button that is on the under apron and attaches to the inside of the middle pleat in the back. Something like this could easily be added to your kilt and would prevent the effect shown in that video
